Zolotoy (Golden) bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Golden Horn Bay in Vladivostok.
This is one of five greatest cable-stayed bridges in the world. Its length is 1388.09 meters. Construction was started on July 25, 2008 in the framework of the program for preparation city to carrying out the APEC summit in 2012.
Its officially opening was held on 11 August 2012. And from 1st of June 2013 bridge started to use by pedestrians. This innovation had respected from mostly inhabitants of city. So now we can save time and money to get from one part of the city to another. By the way, you can feel how it sways while walking along it. However, the bridge is suspension and it is provided by construction.
26904 persons were gathered on the Zolotoy bridge during flash mob in honor of the city’s Birthday on the 7th of July 2013. Each was holding a piece of red, blue or white paper. So, from a bird's-eye view you could see the huge Russian flag. Representative of Guinness book who was invited made a new world record of the largest picture of the national flag.
