Ziction Liberal Hotel Xi'an

I was invited to a wedding reception at this hotel and therefore decided to also stay there during my time in Xi'an.

The hotel is situated in Xi'an's so called Hi-tech Development Zone and seems to be fairly newly constructed. It caters mostly to the needs of Chinese business travellers and you will hardly find any non-Chinese tourists in this hotel. The hotel is not anywhere near to the major tourist sights of the city, but given the low cost of taking a taxi in Xi'an, I did not find this problematic in any way. Also there are many eateries and local stores close to the hotel.

Chinese people in Xi'an tend to smoke anywhere at any time, so make sure to request a non-smoking room well ahead in time. This hotel basically only has one floor of non-smoking rooms.

The rooms offer modern, state of the art design and comfort (satellite tv, air-conditioning, free broadband internet) for a 4-star hotel. Internet download speeds are okay - dont count on the up-load speed though. It is virtually impossible to upload big files.

The hotel offers information in English, and the staff speaks basic English as well. Everybody was very friendly and helpful.

I will certainly consider this hotel for future trips again.
