Zebok is a remote valley in Badakhshan Provice at the foot of the Daliz Pass. It is best known for its beautiful lawn-like pasture that is kept green even in the dry months by the multiplicity of natural springs throughout the valley.

Zebok has few villages due to its isolation. However, its Ismaili inhabitants have a unique language and culture, that is related to the nearby Sang'lichi peoples, as well as the Wakhi and Ishkashimi tribes.

Zebok sits at one of the great natural routes that connects the Post Soviet Central Asian nation of Tajikistan (35 kilometers to the north), with Pakistan (20 kilometers to the south). As such, it was the scene of several famous encounters during the Great Game between Russia and England.
