Zham Vacation Guide
The border city of Zham (aka ZhangMu) is a lively place with hundreds of trucks going from Tibet to Nepal exchanging the goods here. The city is also unique in that it is a mountain town, with the main street going down zigzagging along, narrow, full of parked trucks! They actually have good exchange rates, so check the official rate and make your best deal (it is better than you can get in Nepal). And bring flashlights when you walk at night, as the street can be dark and wet and may have some holes in the pavement.
