Spectacular Landmark Dec 30, 2011
Legend says that when the British East India company was established in India, the English authority set off four horses from the four extreme directions of India and decided that wherever they meet would be the center of India.

And the four horses were said to have finally met at Nagpur. Thus Nagpur was made the capital of Central Provinces and emerged as a city that held laudable importance during the British Raj.

Zero Mile remains a major landmark to this day, the distance of every Indian city is measured from this point as co-ordinate.

It is demarcated by a sculpture of four galloping horses.
