There are high altitude trails; easy trails; trails to walk with children to see the Marmots; for die-hards - Tour Monte Rosa - a walk consisting of 9 daily stages (total of 290 km). Our yearly (almost yearly) winter holiday in 2004 brought us near the beautiful Matterhorn to Zermatt in the south of Switzerland. You find there a huge skiing and snowboarding area. The village is car-free and offers some good nightlife.
