Our yearly (almost yearly) winter holiday in 2004 brought us near the beautiful Matterhorn to Zermatt in the south of Switzerland. You find there a huge skiing and snowboarding area. The village is car-free and offers some good nightlife.

In 2007 i went on a 16 country adventure through Europe and Egypt :)
Being my first massive adventure i booked alot of tours and took taxis in the beginning which i discovered i don't enjoy doing. By the end i preferred just walking around discovering things myself.

I felt a bit queasy on the train ride to Zermatt, I think the altitude was getting to me. It was really cold at Zermatt, the town was pretty small. On our way to the hostel, we could see the Matterhorn and it was magnificent. It looked just like the one at Disneyland, except much bigger…
