Zephyros Hotel Kamari

Hotel Zephyros is a few blocks away from Kamari Beach, known for its black sand beaches, as well as its plethora of restaurants and night clubs. While the location is not as charming as a small inn in the heart of Oia or Fira, the staff of the hotel are very friendly and accommodating and the entire island is quite easy to access. The hotel was just 1 block from the bus stop for Fira and walking distance to Ancient Thira and within proximity of several car/4-wheeler/scooter rentals. The rooms are quite standard (far from luxury) but they allow for proper rest with an adequate level of comfort and don’t allow you to waste your day away at the hotel. The breakfast each morning featured the typical local specialties (feta and vegetables, yogurt with honey) and was quite good and the hotel pool was a great place to escape the mid-afternoon heat.
