Zax's pints and plates Austin Reviews
May 08, 2007
At a great location south of Congress Bridge in Austin, parking entrance on Riverside Drive. Lots of parking.
We opted not to sit in the patio because it was still quite hot when we arrived. We got a window seat near the front. Servers were friendly. We ordered Margaritas, not as good as the one I had in Santa Fe, but pretty good. Before 7pm, it's happy hour, so drinks were only $5 each. Not many customers were there on a Tuesday night at 6pm, service was pretty fast. We ordered an Olive and Cheese platter appetizer without the olives, there were more cheese than the 2 of us could finish.
I was thinking about pizza, which I read about in a review somewhere before I went, but ordered the Sesame encrusted Tuna, and my friend ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca. Both were very good.
We were able to walk over to Congress Bridge after dinner for bat viewing.
