Zanotti Bangkok Reviews
Best Italian Restaurant in Bangkok!!! Oct 02, 2011
The first time I went to Zanotti was with my boss and a friend, who he was trying to persuade to work at our school. It was so good the first time, I took my parents here when they visited a few months later.
Located in Silom, it is off the main road and down a back street, unlikely to come accross it if you didn't know it was there. Easy to find by taxi, and close to the BTS station. Very popular with the ex-pats, business men, and upper class Thai's. Reservations are a must, otherwise you will be waiting at their bar or turned away for a good hour or more. We didn't see many (if any) tourists here.
The menu is very diverse, and will satisfy those looking for something a little different on the Italian menu. Most of their ingredients are imported from Italy, and they have over 600 labels of wine available. By Bangkok standards, it is quite expensive, and ordering a bottle of wine can easily double the bill. For a 3 course dinner including wine for two people, you would expect to pay around 7-8000 Baht. They do chuck on 7%VAT and 10%Service charge which adds to the bill. They also give you complementary sweets at the end of your meal, if you order dessert or not, and also a selection of breads before your meal.
Staff are very attentive, although you do not have your own waitor, and maybe 5 different people will tend to you throughout the night. They are ready to re-fill your glass after you take a sip, and are always checking to make sure you are satisfied with everything - they really pay attention to their customers!
Will definitely be going back again, when my wallet can handle it! Dress code = Smart Casual.
