Youthhostel Zurich

This hostel is in a nice quiet neighborhood a bit out of the centre. You can take a bus, 10 min, or walk, about 20 min to old town. The hostel is nice and the rooms are big and light. There are lockers in the room. Showers and toilet is in the hall. Breakfast is fine, with some choice and there is plenty. They also serve dinner, about 14 swiss franks for a 3 cours meal, but it's much nicer to eat in the city centre.

Staff is friendly and helpfull.

I really enjoyed my stay.

This place is pretty much what you expect from a HI hostel. Not bad, but nothing special either.

It's a bit of a walk from the train station and town centre, but not too far. It's quite near the lake though, so that's good, especially if you want to go for a swim.

The showers tended to flood and seep water into the hallway. There was a sign saying how to avoid it, but not in too many languages so I can understand some people didn't understand it. There was some guy telling me off (in German) over the wet floor after I'd left the shower, even though it was already like that when I'd entered the shower. At first I assumed he was hostel staff, but in the end I think he was just a rude guest, so that's not the hostel's fault...

The Youthhostel Zurich is a modern, clean and spacious hostel located about 10-15 minutes from the city centre by tram. Despite the hostel not having the best location it is easily accessible by tram or the night bus after hours.
