World class attraction Jul 01, 2012
Yorkshire Sculpture Park is in a previously little known spot at the small village of Bretton in the Metropolitan District of Wakefield. It shares the grounds of Bretton Hall with part of Leeds University.

There is a large indoor area including a restaurant and a shop as well as exhibition galleries. However i advise you to try to go in good weather as it is the outside displays that really make the place.

These include tmrporary exhibitions of very high class and permanent displays including a number of works by Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.

I went again in June 2012 and have posted more photos.

Entry is free but there is a £4 charge (July 2010) for the car park - which covers the whole day.

Amazing day out Feb 11, 2012
Again, only pay for parking. The park is amazing! You could spend a full day here and not get bored (maybe a little tired). There's so much to see, and the permenant pieces by Henry Moore are fab! There's always some art exhibitions on show, so if the weather is bad you have indoor things to see too. My visit there has turned me into a Moore fan for life.
