Visiting Chinatown becomes an different experience each time you visit.  Today we walked and visited as many stores and shops our feet allowed us.  The train ride was very simple and although we went during the week it was still busy with people.

Food and Beer Festival

After the ramen musuem the rain had stopped so we decided that it we should still head over to the Yokohama Stadium and watch the baseball game. We arrived to the game a half hour late but we still got tickets. Our seats were awesome. The energy at the game was amazing.   Jana, Hiromi, and I sat next to a...

I took a gap year due to my being queen procrastinator about my uni choices. And then I remember thinking, Oooh, I fancy going to Japan!...after many months of earning money and worrying my parents with the vague assurance that I knew exactly what I would do there, I finally arrived. I am now in the final weeks of my stay, completely refreshed and 'ready' to go to university!

Yokohama, second largest city in Japan...

Well, as part of my weekend excursion I spent a day on a tour bus driving around Yokohama and seeing its various touristy spots.  The company I did the tour through was ran by the city so the first problem with this was that they only spoke Japanese during the whole tour, haha.  So, needless to say inbetween going to places I was listening to my ipod.  However, we start out from the Yokohama Station promptly at 9:45am.  We were then driven to the Minato Mirai 21 District t...

Hockey Night in Japan
posted by:
Dec 01, 2004 - Dec 28, 2004
I hate having plans when I travel but I make some exceptions and this day was one of those.  Often when I travel I make it a point to watch some hockey and I made plans to do this in Japan.  You may be surprised but there is professional hockey in Japan.  The pro hockey league in Japan may not rival the NHL but it was not the worst hockey I have ever seen.  The game I chose ot watch was between a team from Tokyo and another team from Sapporo and they played at Shin-Yokoham...
