A local chain for a traditional pastry - Yogurt de la Amazonas Jul 16, 2009
This is a local chain for one of the most famous pastries in Ecuador: pan de yuca - which is made with the yuca (a root similar to the potato)

It started as a small cafe at Amazonas Ave, but right not you can find several locations on the city. It's a chain and looked like a fast food one, the only difference is that is about local snacks.

They are very famous for their yogurts, offering different flavors besides the common ones. The famous pastry can also be stuffed with cheese. But they also serve mini paninis, fruit salads, coffee, juices, among others.

I was looking forward to try the pan de yuca and this was Jerry's favorite place. It was a bit cool and I got the pan de yuca, which was still warm, yummy & coffee, while he got a yogurt and mini paninis.

This is a great spot for a snack with traditional flavor.
