Monday morning we enjoyed breakfast in the dining room; we wanted to make sure we got a good meal since we weren’t sure when lunch would be. We left Mammoth at a good time but made three stops on our way out of the park. First, we pulled over at Gibbon Falls which conveniently was vis…

We drove into the night and got a campsite at the West Yellowstone KOA, in Montana just outside the park. We got up early and went in the West entrance...we saw Elk by the river right away, then we saw a coyote with a fish in its mouth run across the street right in front of us! I tried to ge…

I had been to Yellowstone National Park too many times before, and didn't really want to go again--especially in late June. Summers in Yellowstone usually mean traffic backups when tourists stop to snap photos at bison. Once, it took me four hours to travel 30 miles in Yellowstone, beca…

We awoke early, cozy and warm inside our sleeping bags but a brisk 30 degrees Farenheit outside. This was perfect cause it gave us plenty of time to make omelets and kick back a bit but not cut into our busy day ahead. After all I had so many things to show them and now that they had al…

My best friend and I just recently got back from a 3 1/2 week roadtrip across the U.S. It was definitely the most amazing trip I've ever taken in my life. We took the northern route all the way out to the Pacific coast, went down the coast, then came back the southern route. For anybody who hasn't taken a lengthy roadtrip in their life, I highly suggest you do so while you are still young and single...it's a once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget.

We woke up in Idaho to a nice sunrise. We wanted to get up early, since we would discover Yellowstone that day, and be quickly on our way before the day was done. Just outside Island Park, we stopped for gas, as we knew we would be driving around Yellowstone all day and didn't want to be gouged by …

Did you know that Yellowstone is *the* oldest and largest National Park in our country? Pretty neat!
And did you know that much of Yellowstone is smack on top of an active volcano?! The entire lower third is over the caldera of the volcano!
That is why everywhere we go i…
