YEH PULU RELIEF Aug 20, 2008
Relief yeh pulu was discover by the army- comander of the kindom of Ubud for the first time in 1925. It is one of the clasic monuments from the 14 century. The research about this monument was publised by Dr.W.F.Sutterheim in the head of dutch Archelogical Departement in 1929

The name of Yeh_Pulu is derived from an image of a bowl where the wter comes out in the part of the relief.Yeh means water and Pulu means large. a earthware bowl used for water. The relief is carved 25 meter by 2 meter a long a steeply sloped riverbank. The daily ativity of peopleduring that time is perpetuated through this beutiful relief. Beside the relief it self, thereare several niches that are used by the king of Bedahulu for meditation,

Relief Yeh Pulu is located in Bedulu village, next to goa gajah,7 km from Ubud centre. To get there you can ride bicycle or go by Bemo (public transport) and it's cost about 5000 rupiah (IDR)/person if y share the bemo with the other passengers (not a charter)
