Pictures of life in and around the city of Perth and the state of Western Australia

Yanchep National Park is only 50 km north of Perth. It is a great place to see Koalas. Inside the gardens right next to the park's buildings there must be close to 20 of these little guys. Last time I visited they were all busy having a snooze... At least this time I got to see them as they were feeding and jumping from tree to tree. Some Eucalyptus branches are disposed by the Park rangers next to ground level where the visitors can have a good view on the koalas as they feast on the leaves…

Starting my trip in Western Australia then south up the centre and over to Cairns.

One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand. Then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we are set to stay in Australia for one year to work and travel!
