I happened to come across Yamazaki Bakery while waiting for my mom and my cousin to finish up their window shopping moment at the Japanese Village Plaza. The bakery is centrally located within the plaza near the waterless water fountain. Outside the bakery are several tables and chairs where patrons can immediately nosh on their baked goods. Inside the bakery, there is a refrigerator case keeping cream filled and fruit topped pastries cool. On the other side of the bakery is a display of freshly baked breads, pastries, and cookies which spans the full length of the wall. I was craving something sweet so I headed straight to the refrigerator case. After much thought, I opted for the chocolate covered éclair and for $1.20…what a deal and it tasted so yummy! The people behind the counter are super nice and helpful. If you purchase any bakery goodies, be sure to ask for a parking validation for parking discounts…that is if you parked in the Japanese Village Plaza parking structure!
