NZ$25 per night (for non-YHA members) for a bed in a 4 sharing dorm room.

Located on the sea front and about 2km from Kaikoura town centre this is a quiet hostel that offers large, immaculate rooms with linen included, a large kitchen area with excellent facilities, a TV lounge with views of the sea and immaculate bathrooms.

The reception sells a limited selection of food to save you having to walk into the town supermarket, which includes a NZ$3 'Breakfast Set' - cereal, milk, bread, butter, jam & tea or coffee.

Most impressive of all are the views of the sea and the Kaikoura Range in the distance.
The view from my room!
