 Brilliant youth hostel with a real waterfall in the backyard Mar 13, 2008
This youth hostel in Derwentwater is just outside Keswick and is located in an amazing setting.
The lake is just across the road and in the backyard, there is a waterfall and a small stream running to it through thick woods. We stayed in the large dormitory and it was very clean and had very large windows and high ceilings. It looks and feels like a large mansion. The food was exceptionally good. Being a vegetarian, I didn't have much choice from the menu but whatever I did get was phenomenal. We hired cycles in the Keswick city centre and rode to and from this YHA and it was a beautiful ride. |
