Spent four nights in Xining. Somehow when I end up in a city - especially one with all-night internet access - I seem to end up there for a while.The problem with untouristy China - as far as I'm concerned - is that there's no bars. There are places to eat on every street corner but most of the time there's nothing to drink but tea. My long far-east tour, started in Nepal (did the Everest Trek), continued into India and then back to Tibet, Mongolia and amazing China. Finished the tour in the middle due to some Job in London... went back a year after, look for that Travelogue :)

12 Hours later I arrive in Xining and are welcomed by what looks like a 90's gangster B movie set. Mr. Niu awaits me near the station exit and asks me if I'm the man from Holland and I respond if he is Mr. Niu and continue to ask him if he is the man who can help me with my little problem and off course he can!
