I was 17, and excited to be embarking on my first overseas trip without my family. Culture shock, straight up. It was a really valuable trip; I learned and saw a lot. But it was HOT, and Hong Kong was depressing. I ended up taking off a week earlier than planned. I will be back one day.

My parents and I went on a short tour of China in the summer of 2005. We visited Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Guilin, and Hong Kong! Our tour group was kickass...hope my parents never find out what actually happened that night in Shanghai...
