Plush luxurious stay in Macau Oct 25, 2009
Arrived in Macau a little past midday by Turbojet from the ferry terminal at Shun Tak Centre. Journey takes approx 1 hour and ticket costs HKD 250 (super class). Took the Wynn shuttle bus to the hotel and checked in. We got upgraded to a higher floor and had a lake view suite overlooking the musical fountains at the front of the hotel.
The suite was plush, had a huge and very comfortable king sized bed, luxurious bathroom with a large tub and shower with deliciously scented amenities. The living/seating area had a bar area and opening the remote controlled curtains unveiled a spectacular view. We also got a complementary bottle of Moet and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries! I had the time to check out the pool area which was large and set amongst trees so it was always quiet. Sunloungers were plenty and pool boys were always around to offer you iced water and cold towels while lounging by the pool. There are numerous designer stores in the hotel (Gucci, LV, Tiffany, etc) which were fun to wander and browse through! We went out of the hotel for dinner (a little Portuguese restaurant called Fernando’s) and got back to lounge at Cinnebar which has an indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the garden and pool to enjoy a couple of martinis. As with any good bars, the bartender was very friendly and even mixed an experimental drink which wasn’t on the list! We headed out to the casino to try our luck at one of the tables. It was huge, though not as large as Venetian’s and although we are not big gamblers, I was lucky enough to end up making a couple of thousand on the roulette! The hotel staff were very polite and helpful and accommodated my request for nurofen in the wee hours (though only panadol was available). We only stayed in Macau for a night but the breakfast buffet was very impressive with lots of choice. Truly, a plush and luxurious hotel and I was not disappointed one bit!!!
