Wyndham's Theatre London Reviews
Wyndham's Theatre May 15, 2010
Wyndham’s theatre is a gorgeous theatre in the West End, just next to Leicester Square tube station. It isn’t very big by West End standards, and is currently hosting Avenue Q.
The theatre is tall and narrow, and decorated in light blue with lovely pictures on the boxes and above the stage. The lighting is pretty too. Unfortunately, the staff are very, very fierce if you try to take pictures, even before the performance starts, so I can’t show you what it looks like. It is a traditional shaped theatre and I couldn’t see any seats that would have a dreadful view. The stage sets were great when we went, and Avenue Q is a really good show (it’s a bit like Certificate 18/ R rated Sesame Street, if you can imagine that).
I don’t know when I will go back to Wyndham’s, as it charges West End prices and the shows don’t change that often, but I certainly wouldn’t rule it out.
I think that disabled access might be a bit tricky – I would certainly phone ahead and check if I had any mobility problems.
