We thought a road trip was a good idea. So it is 1000km from Riga, no big deal. On the way there we stopped for my birthday dinner in Wroclaw, Poland. We could feel the city was nice but we couldn't see anything because of heavy rain mixed with snow. We just walked on the main street of old town and headed to Prague. On the way back we were torn apart. Should we go to Czestochowa or back to Wroclaw? We picked Wroclav and we did not regret it. The weather was great, sunny and quiet, there...

Berlin is like how a woman is to a man. (Not that I am supposed to know, but I have been brainwashed by the media). It amazes me, fills me with awe and wonder, but suffocates me sometimes. It is complicated. It is a love-hate relationship. So sometimes, I need to get away. So.After my inter-cultural management exam (for dummies, understanding "typisch": why most Asians eat noisily and such), change my mental frame of mind, and I'm back to being an excited child at the ...

We travel by train from Gdansk to Prague, but instead of taking the night train, we're travelling by day train and stopping in Wroclaw for a night to break up the journey. I think we'll have an interesting time in Poland since "Wroclaw" seems to be pronounced something more like "vrots-wav" instead of "ro-claw"!

When my boyfriend, Lorenzo, came to visit me to visit me to Leipzig last October we wanted to travel around for a few days. Neither had been to Poland before and on map it seemed to be close by, so we rented a car and bought a map of Poland. I though it would took us only around a few hours to drive to Wroclaw from Leipzig, because it was 324 km away, but because we took a long, slow route, it took us the entire day to reach Wroclaw. So in the end of the day we were really tired, bu...

Wrocław is one of the most beautiful and oldest cities in Poland, initially established on one of the islands formed by the multiple channels of the river Odra near its junction with the Ślęza, the Oława, and the Widawa. As a city of 12 islands and 112 bridges, it is known as the ‘Polish Venice’.
