Wrexham Overview

Wrexham (Wrecsam in Welsh) is a town in North Wales that has been pushing for city status for over 5 years. It has a population of close to 70,000.

Wrexham has a direct rail link to London (2 hours 30 mins journey time) but is closer to Liverpool (40 minute drive or 1 hour 10 minute train journey)

It is home to the oldest venue for international football the "Racecourse Ground" (still being used) in the world. It has a reputation for a good nightlife and indeed there is a strip of bars down one of the roads in the town centre. With 2 main clubs "Central Station" and "Liquid/Envy".
