Worlds of Fun...Thrill Seekers Paradise! Jul 12, 2008
As a rollercoaster junkie and thrill-seeker, I've decided to do some reviews on the amusement parks I've visited. This will be the first park review.
Worlds of Fun is in it's 35th year and is located just outside of KC right off of I-435. Last year they added yet another rollercoaster...the Patriot, the first inverted rollecoaster at the park, and the longest and tallest of its kind in the midwest. But it doesn't get my vote for the best inverted coaster I'v been on (that will be in another review).
My favorite coaster at this park is the Mamba, one of the fastest, tallest, and longest rollercoasters in the world. The first drop is over 200 feet and speeds climb to over 70 mph.
The Boomerang is another coaster worth mentioning. You are pulled backwards to the top of a nearly vertical 12-story tower and then released to plummet at nearly 50 miles per hour down a steep hill. You turn and go through two corkscrew turns and a vertical loop, flipping upside down three times. Riders then head up another nearly vertical 12-story tower where the whole trip begins again... in reverse!
The RipCord, is an extra-charge ride that combines the thrill of skydiving and a 180 feet free-fall flight experience into an adrenaline pumping adventure.
Prices for admittance is 34USD for all day if you buy tickets online. You can also get season passes.

Worlds of fun: Fun Amusement Park! Jun 19, 2008
As its name says, this place is full of fun. How can't you have fun in a place named Worlds of fun???

Actually, it was named after Jules Verne's book "Around the World in 80 Days" and is divided into 5 major sections (Scandinavia, Africa, Europa, the Orient, and Americana). Rides, attractions, shops, shows, and restaurants are named according to each area theme. Well, there's also an area for children, called "Camp Snoopy".

Among all the attractions, the Roller coasters might be the most visited. If you love them, you have to visit this park. The most popular are:
* Timber Wolf: a classic wooden one.
* Mamba: it's a huge one. The highest of the park.
* Boomerang: a shuttle roller coaster. Drives backwards.
* Spinning Dragons: dragon-themed spinning one.
* Patriot: an inverted roller coaster for the brave ones.
* Fury of the Nile: a river rafting ride.

If you like roller coasters and are nearby, I definitely recommend you visit this park. All the family can enjoy here!

Lol, just be thankful there were NO MORE roller-coasters at the end of the evening and all those bars, beers, other drinks'n' food! :D

Our plan was to go to Worlds of Fun, a Six Flags style amusement park. We were on the road by 8 AM and arrived at the park about 3:30 PM . I had guaranteed our arrival at our hotel, so I was planning a late check in, so the park… Worlds of Fun

Dag 12

World's of Fun is also owned by Cedar Fair, and in pretty good shape. Their new rollercoaster is a spinning coaster, and although spinning usually makes me sick, this one wasn't so bad. Their large steel coaster is called Mamba. The train ride… World's Of Fun

Kansas City is also home to the Negro League's Baseball Hall of Fame and the NCAA College Basketball Experience.  Nearby are the Harry S. Truman Library/Museum and the NASCAR Kansas Raceway.  And for the kid in all of us, Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun theme parks offer some of the best roller coasters in the country.… KC Area Attractions

Oeps!!!
