'The Parade of the World Royal Heritage Festival' Dec 05, 2013
On Sunday 8th December 2013, in the afternoon, Thousands of people flocked to my Capital City of Jakarta, INDONESIA. Crowding the area of Monument Nasional (Monas), to see The Grand event of the cultural performance of World Royal Heritage Festival (WRHF). That was initiated by the Tourism and Culture Department DKI Jakarta, the event took place over the days of 5-8 Dec, 2013.
This Festival, is the first (WRHF) to take place in INDONESIA, fitting that it should then take place in the Capital JAKARTA, it was aimed at promoting and preserving art and culture of the Palace Indonesian into the world. In addition, it is also to strengthen the relationship between our cultures and the world and promoting friendship with the view to make Jakarta City a destination for World tourism.
The W.R.H. Festival presented a wealth of cultural heritage during the event dates, such as, arts, crafts, objects of inheritance, and culinary delights of the kingdom, that visitors can become participants of activities such as workshops and seminars. Visitors are not charged anything during performances in the Monas courtyard areas. But if they want to be inside the Diorama Monas (Museum), where there are exhibitions of the Royal Palace and the kingdom the entrance for visitors is a general Rp 5,000, a little price to pay for such an interesting insight to the Kingdom. The finale on Sunday 8th was to include a parade of states person’s from across the globe.
Jakarta’s Governor and Vice Governor of DKI, Joko Widodo and Basuki T.Purnama, lead in the parade of wagons, which they drove themselves, wearing clothing of the Prince of Jayakarta. The parade started at the Monas and circles it via the roads filled with crowds of onlookers, returning to the Monas courtyard area, where they are to be seated in stalls for the reminder of the parade and festival...many more stalls are here from other world nations that didn’t take part in the parade.
The Parade was the final touch of the day for the crowds...the states people were to Dine together in the Royal Palace...Hmmmm...This I couldn’t work my magic and to get in to witness...lol.
