Wordsworth House and Garden Cockermouth Reviews
Good & Bad Feb 11, 2012
We visited here because Ewan loves literature. We drove around for ages trying to find it; if you follow the directions you find they all of a sudden run out. As you drive into Cockermouth, you go down a road to a t-junction, that's where the directions end. That's because it's infront of you, just not very well signed. Turn left, take your first right, and there's a carpart on the other side of the river. The museum itself is very strange. They want you to buy a map, but there's plastic covered ones you can borrow! The staff in the museum are very odd people, but lovely and polite. The gardens are beautiful, and the views of the river from the rear of the garden are stunning. We found the house gardens nicer than the museum.
