Woolsey Creek Bistro Revelstoke Reviews
Good combination of ingredients Jan 31, 2016
N51°0.078' W118°12.076' This Lonely Planet must-visit recommendation is outside the centre of town in a commercial district of Revelstoke. Woolsey Creek sources its food locally. Their Okanogan wine cellar is extensive. Dining options are inside (left & right) and on the large patio.
In August 2015 we ordered grilled wild Canadian Pacific sablefish fillet with coconut tamarind-turmeric sauce, Thai red rice and seasonal vegetables for CAN$29. It was good, with nice flavours from sablefish, rice and vegetables. Excellent combination made this main dish enjoyable. Our other main dish was elk bavette from a Peace River Alberta ranch with juniper berry rub, roasted fingerling potatoes with aioli, seasonal vegetables and red wine berry semi-glace. The meat was tender, very delicious and a very good combination with the vegetables and potatoes. Both main dishes excited our taste buds. Service was good and personal.
Woolsey Creek did surprise us in their combination of ingredients. Recommended.
