Woodland Zoo Farmington Reviews

Aug 04, 2007
The Woodland Zoo is located in Farmington, PA in the Laruel Highland Mountains. It's a privately owned property that houses many different species of animals. They have many differetn activities at the zoo for both children and adults such as spend the night at the zoo, zookeeper for a day, children's birthday parties, pavilion rentals, concerts, car shows, pumpkin patches in October and a Christmas light display in December. All proceeds go the feeding and veterinary care of the animals. The Woodland Zoo also has an Adopt and Animal Program which is $ 25.oo per year. It may not be the most spacious zoo out there, but the animals have been bred in captivity, injured, orphaned or seized from owners that can't take care of them. They all seemed healthy and well fed. Overall, it would be a relatively cheap day out especially if you have kids who like animals or like me is an adult that is animal crazy. For adults it's $ 7.50, seniors $ 6.50 and children under 12 $ 4.50. There is also food you can buy for $.50 or $ 1.00 and feed the animals.
