As the name said - Dieng (Di - place/mountain and Hyang - Gods), this place was one of the early Hindu origin in Java. The name itself it's an appealing factor to come and see it myself! Nearly 200km road trip from Yogya - Magelang - Temanggung and Wonosobo then Dieng. Travelling with 3 kids - I was the eldest hence I must behave a bit!

I joined a group of geologists to explore the vulcanos on Bali and Java. Between this serious work I enjoyed the beautiful country of Indonesia. First we had a group of 8 people, later on 3 girls joint us and we did the rest of the tour with 11 people. One of my last days on Java, I really felt the earth moving. It WAS a minor earthquake.
