 Atmosphere, ambiance, and very good food Jun 06, 2005
Out a little ways from the downtown area of Dublin is this great restaurant. Very upscale in atmosphere, ambiance, service and food, this linen napkin eatery deserves 5 stars from the moment you walk in. Even silver chopstick holders were on the tables.
Most customers were well dressed, but coat and tie were not required. You could spend quite a handsome price for some meals but my husband and I are both rather light eaters and enjoyed our light meal of Pineapple Chicken, Spring Rolls, and Fried Rice for a very modest price. This is very nice restaurant. Great atmosphere and ambiance, linen napkins, very good service, and excellent food. All of the details had been taken into consideration and the results were wonderful, including silver chopstick holders.
Although it is on the more pricey side, if you are in for a light dinner you can eat well for a modest price. Our light meal was Pineapple Chicken, Spring Rolls, and Fried Rice. Most customers were well dressed, but we were casual and not frowned upon. A coat and tie were not required. Today we head for Dublin. Breakfast is average for the trip, so I won't describe it.
Adare is the first stop today for a quick break and picture opportunity. This is the first time we've been able to really get some shots of the thatched roo…Wong's Chinese Restaurant which is only a mile away. Okay, we walk the half hour (yea, we walk slow) and find Wong's. An extremely memorable meal. Very good food and a very nice atmosphere. Not cheap, but not really… Headed for Dublin |

Late in the afternoon we pull into Dublin. We are staying at the Hilton Hotel and it is modern, nice and clean. We decide to rest for an hour before going out for dinner.
We asked at the consierge desk and they suggested a good asian me…Wong’s Chinese Restaurant about a half mile to a mile away. We decide to walk, or stroll slowly, and it gives us a small chance to see the neighborhoods and shops along the way. This turns out to be a very nice… Dublin |
