Wolfenbuttel Overview

Wolfenbüttel is a town in Lower Saxony it is the administrative capital of Wolfenbüttel District, the town is probably best known as the location of the internationally renowned Herzog August Library. Wolfenbüttel is smaller than its neighbouring cities, but because it was largely undamaged by the war, it still retains its historical character and is rich in half-timber buildings, many dating back several centuries.

Must see sights/attractions include: Schloss Wolfenbüttel (castle) and the churches Marienkirche (Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary) and St.-Trinitatiskirche (Trinity Church) to name but a few.
