Madison with the parents
posted by:
Jun 07, 2006 - Sep 07, 2006
I attended a wonderful wedding in Madison (as photographer and friend) and got to spend a few days in Madison with my family. I also hit the target and walgreens several times picking up last minute things, including a cooler for the case of spotted cow beer I bought. A case might be a bit much to take on a road trip, but I hope it will make it down to Texas for my friend Jess in Austin. Also, a case got me two free spotted cow glasses!

Off to Chucks
posted by:
Apr 23, 2006 - May 11, 2006
WE left Phil Clarks abode at about 8.30am in Chicago and headed to Wisconsin. Jimmy did most of the driving and I sat in the back editing some sound files for the show. The scenery was very different and it was great to get away from the grid formation. We popped in to the Mars Cheese Castle - a massive emporium of dairy products from around the world. Phil purchased some cheese kurds, lumps of white cheese with a rubbery taste. Arrived at Chucks at 1pm and enjoyed meeting another...

Preparing for the Adventure

With only 12 days to go until our flight leaves Chicago, we are starting to feel the pins and needles of the trip entering our bodies. Sure, we have traveled before but never outside of the United States. This adventure has long been coming and as we prepare for our trip, we must remember that there is such a thing as packing too much stuff. LOLOur actual adventure begins on July 11th, as we fly from Chicago, Illinois to Heathrow, London. Since we have already confirmed that our hotels for th...

Wisconsin Dells, WI   We spent the day at the Dells for a bit of sightseeing.  The town is full of different water parks for family fun.  One park had a huge wooden roller coaster plus lots of other screaming rides.  LOL  The main street of town has lots of touristy shops for those so inclined to “shop till they drop”.  We took the tour boat ride on both the upper and lower Dells.  Very enjoyable with lots of picture opportunities. We ate a late l...

My family has never been much for fishing.  We've all enjoyed the outdoors, I grew up in the Boy Scouts and loved camping (which I still do) but fishing is one thing my family never really got into.  However, I married into a family that not only loves the outdoors but loves to harvest many different types of meat from deer, caribou, antelope, ducks and fish.  And now that I am in the family I am invited to the Canada fishing trip to Perrault Falls that has taken place multiple...
