Winooski Vacation Guide
Winooski is the Abanaki Indian word for onion river...or so I have been told. Winooski does have a large river flowing under the main street bridge...but it does not smell of onions.
The entire city of Winooski is roughly 1 square mile, so very small; you could even end up in Winooski while driving in Burlington and not even know it. There has been a huge renovation lately and it is looking very nice there.
There is The Mill, which is full of shopping. There are also a few bars, including a VFW and smaller places to eat in the area. Inside The Mill also has a very small museum with pictures and things to read about when the Mill was functional turning out textiles.
