Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club Nairobi

The hotel was located way on the outskirts of Nairobi and was very peaceful/quite. The accommodations at the Windsor were fairly average, but on the upside of decent for Africa. The rooms were a little rustic, so do not expect air conditioning. The rooms had a bathroom with tub and a shower, safe box, telephone, and a TV (with about 17 channels). There was not an iron or ironing board, but you could request one to be delivered to your room. The hotel had a laundry service that did a good job, but it was not really cost effective. I think I ended-up paying $60.00 U.S. for 5-shirts & 5-pant to only be laundered. Since the rooms did not have an air conditioners, the hotel would provide a fan upon request. If the room windows had screens, you would be able to keep your windows open all the time, as the weather was very comfortable. However, since they did not, you had to choose either being cool & comfortable, or being bitten by mosquitos. Wireless internet service was available throughout the hotel, when it worked, but expect to pay about $25.00 U.S./day. The other option for checking your email, was the business center for about $5.00 U.S./15-Min.

Since there is nothing really close to the hotel, by way of food, we ended-up eating breakfast & dinner at the hotel. The hotel appeared to be clean and the food tasted pretty good, however, almost everyone in my group got ill from the food at one point or another during our stay. T
