One of the better known water parks in the region Apr 08, 2013
A great time for all, young and old - fun for those seeking relaxation or an adrenaline rush.

Your ticket will look like a wrist watch, which allows you to enter to use rides, use lockers, and buy food.

You would need to figure out how much additional credit you need to load into the 'wrist watch' to get towels, buy food and get a waterproof camera if you need to take pictures.

Once inside you will need to change into your swimsuit and put your stuff in the lockers. Try not to forget the locker number :)

The changing area and showers can get crowded and messy but cleanup is usually in process.

There will be several variants of wet slides (simple, fast, scary), tunnels, dark passages, surfing, wave pool. Do not miss the Jumeirah Sceirah. After your adrenaline rush, you get to fall into a pool or a canal where you can chill out and go with the flow.

Pros: Very exciting fun time - you will not want to come out until it's closing.

Cons: Can get crowded especially weekends (Thu, Fri, Sat).

Location: Not difficult to find. Just drive to the famous Burj Al-Arab Hotel visible from most of Dubai and you will find the entrance.

Nearby attractions: Burj Al-Arab Hotel, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah, Mall of Emirates ski park.

Wet 'n' Wild Feb 19, 2011
Well like Wadi....I'm a bit wild so I fitted right in! This HUGE water park is the mutt's nuts.I could have spent all day in there but my fingers were turning into prunes so it was time to go!

They have a massive tube you can sit into and just mosey down the stream as long as you want, surfing, slides...Also there's a concert like place where you can avail of dance routines for kiddies/adults.A lot more but just can't fit it all in!

All in all a great place for young & old!

N.B Don't forget to slap on that lotion if you tend to burn easily!

I went here free due to it being part of the deal i got at staying in Jumeirah Beach. Although i can say it was a fun day out for the family, certain things did annoy me due to health and safety not really being a big problem which it should have been!

There were good areas here though. these were the beach themed pool, the fun slides to go down, a water ride which was a massive ring that 3 of us went in and then a ride with drops and splashes of water, and the gorgeously relaxing lazy river which was my favourite part of the day!

There were many problems however.

- The jets on the slides were very powerful resulting in my dad being thrown off a rubber ring and causing a nasty cut all the way up his back which resulted in him having to use an emergency exit (there was no lifeguard to be seen).

- The queues were ridiculous! It was a busy time to go obviously and this meant it was not enjoyable!

- There were not many sun loungers so we resulted in sitting in a spare area for most of the day which was no fun at all!

- There is a big pool area with a wave machine and with around 100 people in this small area and only 1 life guard at the area meant it was dangerous as people were struggling to stand and the waves were very powerful.

Wild Wadi Water Park in the heart of Dubai is a great escape from the heat of the Persian Gulf. Though Wild Wadi may not be the largest most advanced water theme park in the world it certainly provides more than enough entertainment to take up a day in the water. The "flow rider" near the front of the park is a big hit as people of all ages try their skills at boogie or surf boarding. My personal favorite is the inner-tube ride that has portions of the ride that go uphill, yes uphill. The food is a little pricey for the quality but what amusement park isn't? The hourly rain storm with the flash flood is a nice touch!
