Wichita Falls, Texas is a small "city" with a population of a little above 100,000 people. Wichita Falls offers Sheppard Air Force Base, red draws (beer & tomato juice) and the world famous Hotter N Hell 100 bike race (a 100 mile bike ride in August in 100 degree weather). It is also the home to Midwestern State University whose alumni include Dr. Phil and Dominic Rhodes. The band Bowling for Soup is also from Wichita Falls. Larry McMurty, the screenwriter of "Brokeback Mountain" calls Wichita Falls home. I think a lot of people traveling through Wichita Falls make the mistake of looking at the town for what "chain" restaurants and stores it doesn't have, you must truly look for all the hidden gems this town has to offer. Once you start digging and finding out "hot spots" you'll discover that Wichita Falls is rich in history, culture, and art.

The end of the old and beginning of the new. The start a fresh back in my home state with a different frame of mind. I loaded my harley davidson and took off for sturgis on the 29th of july in 2008.
