'Wichcraft New York Reviews
A different sandwich experience at 'wichcraft Nov 12, 2009
'wichcraft offers an interesting selection of "New Age" style sandwiches. You won't find sandwiches like these in the typical deli or mass-market sandwich shop.
Stopping in for lunch, I had a Grilled Cheddar (smoked ham, pear and mustard on cranberry-pecan bread) while Susan orderd a Grilled Gruyère (gruyère cheese and caramelized onions on rye bread). Both were warm, gilled sandwiches. Other selections incldued Meatloaf, traditional-sounding Pastrami and Chicken Breast and adventerous-sounding Marinated Eggplant. But taking a look at the ingredients, they are all an adventure.
I very much liked the fact that it was a place to eat at Rockefeller Center that was not overly crowded. (You'll still want to try to first scope out a table.) You can order to go or to eat there. If eating there, your sandwich will be brought to you. (We did that, but I could see that option takes much longer than ordering to go.)
The restaurant's hours, especailly weekends, make it a convenient place to find a bite to eat in the Rockefeller Center area.
