Great family beach Dec 05, 2010
So what's great about it? I supose it depends on the age group but there's something for just about everybody. For all age groups there must be some joy in its being a Blue Flag beach, whenso many beaches are badly polluted.

For very young children the expanse of the beach and the quality of the sand make it a fine day out. For those a bit older there are great walks depending on age and walking stamina - possibly as far as St David's Head or up the mountain-like hill of Carn Llidi - or simply to a smaller beach such as Porth Lleuog or Porthmelgan.

Adults will find nteresting cliffs in some parts and those of any age will surely relish the seascape with ramsey Island backed by the rocky islets of the Bishops and Clerks, one with a lighthouse.

The road comes close to the beach so that only severely disabled people might have difficulty getting to it.
