After roughly 18 hours, over 800 miles of traveling, three mountain passes, and two ferry rides, I've been to Whidbey Island and back! Traveling in winter is always stressful, getting through the mountain passes was surprisingly easier than we had expected. Snoqualmie Pass in Washington on the way over was a piece of cake, we only had to deal with a little slush. On the way back it was snowing pretty good, but still wasn't real difficult to get by.
