It rains in Seattle. You probably know that. In fact, everyone seems to think it rains here all the time. I'd have to disagree with that. But it does rain a lot. In the winter, you can expect some rain each day. Not all day, but usually in the morning or in the evening.
Weather in Seattle is unpredictable. Don't trust your weather website or the weather on the tv. Today it was supposed to rain, it was sunny.
The point I'm trying to get to is: leave your umbrella at home and buy a rain jacket or parka. It will be a hassle to carry an umbrella around with you all the time, and there is no knowing whether you'll need it or night. Do yourself a favor and just wear a good rain jacket. It will keep you warm and dry and you'll need a jacket anyways.
Wear the jacket. Embrace the rain. Otherwise, you'll look like a tourist.
