Wheels Through Time Nov 16, 2008
Against the backdrop of the very wet Great Smoky Mountains, a rainy mountain ride from Cherokee which was closed due to rain. Old School has been looking forward to this from the very beginning of the No Plan Plan Road Trip. How could you pass up a world-wide known collection at the Wheels Through Time Museum which contains over 230 rare antique American motorcycles and automobiles from 1903 to the present - 90% of which are still operated regularly. Most old bikes & cars are just for show, I really like the idea these still get to do what they were designed to do. There are machines that give you goose bumps; some take your breath away, some you can’t take your eyes off. Even if you are not as into motorcycles as much as Old School you can still spend hours looking at this varied collection of vehicles , signs & fashions of the past. Thousands of original items to enhance the theme of vintage transportation are displayed with these great old cars & motorcycles. I pretty sure I saw a plane or two. Included among the artifacts are rare original factory lithographs, panoramic photos, posters, era clothing, trophies, autographed pictures and even an original 20 foot billboard demonstrating the historical impact of marketing and industry promotion during the various times of the past. If you are anywhere close to Maggie Valley N.C. GO you won’t be sorry. Admission is only $12.00 the nice young lady saw my AAA card & it was only $10.00 WHAT A DEAL!! Don't miss this chance to see a great history of Motorcycles!!

Looks like a wonderful place to visit....we love old cars and motorcycles...when we were in Siena, they had a Ferari Gathering---it was unreal! I have never seen some of those cars (the real older ones) until then. Spectacular!!! Matter of fact, my faves turned out to be the more older models! :D
