HongKong is vibrant, cosmopolitan and diverse. Its western influence is evident in the lifestlyle of locals. Having been returned to the Chinese sovereignity in 1997, Hongkong continues to be a flourishing international center with more thatn 6 million inhabitants.

So what are must see sights when in Hongkong?

1. Symphony of Lights
This nightly 8pm show is named as the world's largest permanent light and sound show by the Guinness World Records, covering more than 40 buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour. They are decked out in lights, glowing in a myriad of colors. The best views are on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront between the Avenue of the Stars and the HK Cultural Center, the promenade at Golden Bauhinia square in wanchai, or from the sightseeing boats in the Harbour.

2. Giant Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, The Wisdom Path, Ngong Ping Village
The world's tallest outdoor seated bronze buddha sits serenely atop Ngong Ping plateau amid spectacular mountain scenery, and can be visited daliy from 10am to 6 pm (last admission at 5:30)by . The nearby Po Lin Monastery is a sacred spot for devout Buddhists.
The Wisdom path, an outdoor replica of the centuries old Heart Sutra, is one of the worlds best known prayers that is revered by confucians, buddhists and taoists. The stone tablets are arranged in the form of a figure "8" to symbolise the idea of immeseaurable splendour and infinity.
