what to wear in Tokyou Apr 24, 2011
Tokyou is a very fashion city, eapecilly when you go to shinjyuku area, you may find that you are surrounded by fashinable girls. No matter how cold it is in winter, you can hardly see girls wear trousers, most of them still wear like what they would waer in fall or summer.Japanese girls have a very special taste of fashion , you can buy some clothes in Shinjyuku area if you wanna try kawaii style.

The universal feminine problem of what to wear could be even more of a challenge in Italy. You would have to decide whether you wish to appear like a tourist or blend in with the locals.

My experience is that Italian women allways looks like they're off to a party even in the most unlikely situations. Perfect hair and make up and high heels combined with smart little designer outfits. In Milano i felt like a fat cow no matter how much i dresset up. Practical or comfortable clothes are unexistant in an Italian womans wardrobe.

The further south in Italy you go, the more casual you will find people dressing.

My advice is to wear whatever you feel comfortable in, and to pack as little as possible. Italy is a paradise for shopping, so go crazy in the boutiques and fill your suitcases!:-)

I agree, save room in your suitcase and go shopping! It's always nice to come home from Italy with some new leather shoes, a jacket, or a purse!

First:Hege Regina, you are very beautiful! Your advise is very good on shopping as you go: empty suitcase except two very neutral pants/shirts & you are set. I usually buy scarves and junk jewelry early ... wardrobe expanders. Shorts don't seem to be worn unless you are a tourist..personal choice. I try for business casual (sorta). Sylvia
