Food in malaysia Apr 23, 2009
There is an amazing variety of food in malaysia. there are always the "this is the best restaurant/stall for..." but being a traveller, it would be hard to make it to those specific places. so i would suggest going to food courts where you get a huge selection under one roof. My favourite food court is topfloor of the KLCC (the KL twin towers shopping centre). it has the best and also good value "nasi kandar" which is an east malaysian cuisine. i would also recommend having a whole coconut. its a fresh coconut and they whack a hole in it, you can drink the juice and scrape at the meat, delicious!

-nasi lemak (rice and curried meats)

-soup noodles

-roti canai (bit like naan, but fluffier)

-prawn mee (hot!)

-assam laksa (noodles soup and spicy!)
