What to do in Granada.. Reviews

Granada is situated at the bottom of the Alpujarras mountains and around 45 minutes ,by bus, to the nearest beaches. Now the most obvious must see place is the Alhambra. Make sure that you have your tickets booked in advance ,because it can get very crowded around the tourist season. Also, be sure to go early because it can get very hot in the afternoon. It is an amazing must see place that an entire day should be set aside in order to walk around, take pictures, and enjoy the sights. They say ," You should not come to Granada and not see the Alhambra." (or something along that line). On the other hand you must check out the Cathedral in Granada it is definetely a must see site also. There are not too many touristy attractions in Granada. It is a rather quiet city where you should just roam around and check out there various parks and definetely the tapas bars are a "sight and attraction" in themselves. It is easy to take a bus out of the city and visit the white pueblo villages in the mountains. It is an absolutely spectacular view from up in the mountains and a must do also. If you are bored and want to relax take a bus to Salobrena and relax on the beach. The water is cold but crystal clear and it isn't a crowded beach. There is a giant rock in the middle of the beach and many people jump from it into the water. Many people have been killed on that rock and I wouldn't recommend doing it without seeing someone first do it, but I did it myself and it was alot of fun. Nevertheless, Granada is a nice city and the people are who I think make the sights and attractions in Granada and who you will have the most fun with. However, def. don't miss the Alhambra.
