Perth Essentials May 28, 2011
When coming to Perth you must remember that our summer is between November-March. However the peak heat hits around Dec and Jan. If coming from places like the Uk remember to pack lots of sinlgets, shorts, hats, bathers and sunscreen!

Keep hydrated whilst doing activities and try start your days early.

Between April-July is the wet season, it does get quite cool however not freezing cold like Melbourne which is on the East Coast..

I would suggest to visit Perth around September- November.

First timers generally speaking if you plan to ski or snowboard in australia you will get quite warm while on the slopes shooting down the mountain. Most days are sunny and between 5 and 10 degrees. During the night however it can drop to minus 7 degrees. I suggest you pack more singlets than thermal underwear! Although on some days the thermal tops are useful but definatly dont bring thermal leggings. On most days while skiing all you will need is ski pants, ski jacket(with thermal linning), singlets, t shirts, a couple of thermal longsleeve tops thick socks, beenies(most days it wont be needed) gloves and goggles.(i never used neck warmers, pollerfleece jumpers or scarves during the day.) at night however pollerfleece jumpers beenies and a windbreaker jacket will come in handy.
