Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, QLD Australia May 04, 2011
This place is a Must if you like the Sun, Sea and Sand between your toes and also good Shopping and Real Estate and holiday apartments. The ocean is absolutely beautiful and the people are very relaxed bear also in mind it is pretty commercial too and busy.

whales here, whales there, whales everywhere Aug 13, 2008
Whales In Paradise is one of four companies that take people out on whale watching cruises from the Gold Coast. They have 2 cruises everyday one departing in the morning at 9am, returning at 12.30pm. The afternoon cruise departs at 2pm, returning at 5.30 pm. They depart behind the Titanium bar in the heart of Surfers paradise.

On the cruise we saw about 10 whales and it was truly one of the best things I have done. We even saw one whale breach not once but twice. The Whales in Paradise company have a 100% daily sighting record and they offer guarantee sightings or you can go on another cruise or get your money back which ever you prefer.

The cruise also includes a cruise up the canal to the open see where you can cruise past all the rich and famous houses of the gold Coast some of the houses are valued around 20 million dollars.

The price of the cruise is Adults $85

students 14- $70

Children 4- $50

Family pass

2 adults 2 children $220

The whale cruises run everyday from June to November.

That sounds amazing and to be able to capture it on camera too unfortunately none of my pics were very good as you have no idea where they are going to surface or what they are going to do next.

that's too bad...witnessing a breaching whale would be so inpsiring. A friend captured a photo of a breaching thresher shark some years ago and it still takes my breath away!

It was a humpback whale it was awesome, unfortunately my son and all the other children on the boat were a little too sick to really enjoy or appreciate the whales. All the adults on the ship were fine though.
